What does HondaCare cover? HondaCare virtually mirrors the Distributor's Limited Warranty. The plan covers problems that arise due to defects in material or factory workmanship. Regular required maintenance or replacement of expendable maintenance items are not covered. The only exclusions are batteries, audio equipment, accessories and tires.
If I make modifications to my vehicle will it still be covered? HondaCare does not cover problems that are caused by modifications, unauthorized alteration, or the incorporation or use of unsuitable attachments or parts.
Can I purchase after my Distributor's Limited Warranty expires?
No, you must purchase HondaCare sometime during your new vehicle warranty period. Once your warranty expires - so does this offer.
What happens if I sell the vehicle?
The Honda Protection Plan stays with the vehicle that it was originally purchased for (it cannot be transferred to another vehicle). However, it can be transferred to the subsequent owner, giving them the same great protection.
How are repairs handled?
If you experience problems with your vehicle, take it to an authorized Honda Dealer within the U.S. They will diagnose the problem, repair the vehicle and, if HondaCare covers it, they will submit the required paperwork to American Honda on your behalf.
